This is the brightest and most versatile EDC light I've ever seen. The bezel is just a smidge large, but since I carry it on my belt it doesn't really bother me. Might be a wee b...view moreit big for people that try to stick in in their pocket. For the record. turbo mode will melt your face and illuminate the surrounding area like you were outdoors at 12:00 noon. I am not exaggerating, it is shockingly bright. That said, just a few minutes of use in turbo mode will drain half of your battery and make the flashlight too hot to hold except for right at the tail cap. But it's absolutely amazing to have that much light in such a compact package. Contrary to what I have read, this light DOES have mode memory. Turn it off in "medium" mode and when you turn it back on, it's still in "medium" mode, etc. Maybe I ended up with a newer model that has this feature, I'm not sure. All I can say is that this is a great light. Just be careful, 35 amps is a lot of draw. Use this light responsibility and take care of the batteries, or you could end up with something on fire. view less
Amazing light, instantly turns the night into day. They cold white in this instance is perfect although I am usually a warm light type of guy. Speaking of warm, this light gets war...view morem very quick. It's amazing how small this light is for the output, I tested it against my Emisar D18, and although the D18 out throws it by a bit, you cannot find a better light at this price point, nearly half the price of the Emisar. The build quality is there, so is the performance, what else do you need to know, buy this now view less
An excellent, small and handy flashlight. The UI seems now similar to all the other Nightwatch NSx3 models, i.e. it does not start directly in turbo mode anymore but in a lower mode. The light output is massive, and thanks to the slightly bigger head it can handle the heat better so that according to my impression the turbo mode keeps running full power for quite a while before it steps down. I like the build quality and the clicky tailcap button. I like the shape and size of the flashlight. To receive the parcel took about three weeks which is fine. I am fully satisfied in any aspect.
I just got the NS53A (well, yesterday 2020-05-26) I am using the 21700 Samsung 30T fully loaded.
Max output: 9900lm Version, was first not impressed and thought I had recieved the wrong one BUT, I played around with it and when I double clicked and then double clicked again (from on) then the massive light output appeared (9900lm). If I go thru the steps/(clicks) I get (1)very low, (2) a bit higher (3) pretty bright and at last (4) high (Compared to my Fireflies E07, CREE XPL HI V3 CW 6500K, the Fireflies @ turbo is a bit stronger at it´s 6900LM. than NS53A at (4). But then I discovered: When I double clicked and then d...view moreouble clicked again (from on) it became clear to me ;) I hit Turbo (the highest setting) 9900lm and it far outperformed my Fireflies E07, CREE XPL HI V3 CW 6500K at turbo. I am very happy with my NS53A now :) view less
